Review of SUMMER LOVIN' by Donna Cummings

Goodreads Summary:

Mia is starting her new life away from the dull work-a-day world of managing her brothers' business. She volunteers to dogsit at her friend's house for two weeks, giving her a chance to figure out the next step in her career. Even though it's not an easy gig chasing after a puppy with a shoe fetish, there's the added bonus of the hunky guy next door. Maybe it's finally time for Mia to add a summer fling to her resumé.

Luke is a workaholic forced to take two weeks' vacation, and he's pretty sure it might kill him. But then he has a great idea: getting to know his temporary neighbor. She's sexy and fun, with no worries about a long-term commitment. It's the perfect situation for a guy devoted to his job.

My Thoughts: 5-stars

I loved this short story by Donna Cummings. It was such a fun, adorable and witty read. I read it in one sitting.

The story is based on two hard working professionals taking a two-week vacation from their fast-paced lives. Mia is dog sitting at her friend's house, and the hunky neighbor, Luke, is taking a break from his restaurant...he also happens to be a great cook. Neither are looking for love, but love finds them anyway with the help of a cute little fluff-ball, aka Hellboy.

Summer Lovin' makes the reader feel as if she is experiencing the budding feelings of falling in love all over again. Mia and Luke's relationship proves that when it comes to love, no matter what your logic decides, your heart is the one in control. Overall, I really enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more by Donna Cummings. I definitely recommend Summer Lovin' to romance lovers.
